Members renee_russell
If anyone has any information on "Irene" Coster's family, I would really appreciate it. From a scan of her marriage license that can be found on this site, I know that Frank Coster was a witness to the marriage. From the research I've done on Ancestery.com on "Frank Coster/Costa", it is possible it is her brother and their family emigrated from Portugal/The Azores, but none of that data shows an Elizabeth or Irene in the list of siblings. Could it be a cousin? I would love a starting point with her. Thank you. Renee Link to comment
Administrators Mary Glynn Posted August 14, 2018 Administrators Share Posted August 14, 2018 I wonder if Donna Tremayne would know. I do not have much information myself. Link to comment

I've even found tons of information on my birth father's family. 1 Link to comment

I wasn't able to get anything else here. I'll just keep looking. Link to comment
Administrators Mary Glynn Posted September 16, 2018 Administrators Share Posted September 16, 2018 I wonder if she had been married before and that was her married name. Example: Martin Baker Gay Jr. Married an Elizabeth Pachal Dillon. They wrote it as such in announcements etc...however she was married prior to a Dr. Dillon and her actual maiden name was Pachal (was not her middle name) Elizabeth Irene, maybe she was married before John. I am not sure either ? Another example Lodowick married a Mary Miller according to the marriage announcement. Truthfully Mary had been married to a Miller who had passed away. Her actual maiden name was "Sweet". Just thinking or perhaps give a different way to look at it. Who knows it may not be this way at all, but one never knows either. Link to comment

Could be; I've seen this type of thing, too. Her parents were each born in Ireland according to the 1910 census (that was info I didn't have before). It doesn't help that she went by Lizzie sometimes. Link to comment
